Dina Meyer was born and raised in Forest Hills, Queens, New York, but moved to Dix Hills, Long Island, just before her last year in junior high school. Two of her brothers are Gregory, her elder brother and Evan. The modeling profession was her first experience in the industry. She did it between the ages of nine and sixteen. Ron Stetson taught her the Sanford Meisner acting technique at The Neighborhood Playhouse. Sandra Bullock and Michael Douglas were among the actors that received this training. She was cast in Beverly Hills in 90210, but had to relocate to Los Angeles to take the lead role. After being offered the lead part in Johnny Mnemonic where she did majority of the stunts her own, she proved her self as an actor who is athletic. She was also represented by Matt LeBlanc, so through her agent for talent, she was able to secure a regular spot in the show Friends.
